The Federal Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) for Mortgage Licensing Act requires Belay Bank Mortgage to make the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) ID numbers of its registered Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) available to consumers. Belay Bank does this in two ways:

- A link with a brief explanation of how you may look up the information is available on demand at a special government web site established to verify Mortgage Loan Originator registration information.
NMLS Consumer Access Web Site
Federal registrant information is available to the public through the NMLS Consumer Access Internet website. This site allows users to search an online database of information about financial institutions which originate consumer mortgage loans and their registered Mortgage Loan Originator employees. Through this service, consumers are able to verify information about NMLS registered individuals and companies.
Searching and Accessing the NMLS Database
You may search the web site by a name, company, city, state, zip code, or by the NMLS ID number of either a company or a registered Mortgage Loan Originator. You will also find search tips and frequently asked questions on the NMLS Consumer Access website to assist you with looking for and understanding the information found on the site.
If you already know the NMLS ID number of the Mortgage Loan Originator you wish to verify, simply enter the number into the search box on the home page of the website.
